Ranch Camp, Part II

Like many good mothers, Pippi takes lots of photos. She recently shared all these wonderful pictures from her week here with the kids for Ranch Camp. You can find Part I here: https://couleecreekranch.com/2014/10/16/ranch-camp-2014/

It’s such a pleasure to think back to the golden days of autumn now that winter is settling in around us and whisking the last brown leaves off trees with icy fingers. I continue to hope that winter, with its long dark nights, will bring me more time for writing and reminiscing here. For now, here are the last of the fall memories:

I live in Montana with my husband Bart. I enjoy taking care of the animals on the ranch and exploring the prairie with my dogs, my binoculars, and a reverence for the natural world.

  1. Heather, I share your posts with my best friend since 7th grade, Rosemary, who now lives in TN. She was in my wedding party along with your dad. Anyway, she and I both are inspired and uplifted by your posts and lifestyle and I will now share this latest post with her. I have only 7 chickens, in a small house in my backyard, who are just beginning to lay. Today I got 3 eggs! love, cousin (somewhat removed) Marcia

    1. Marcia,
I am glad that you enjoy reading my posts! It’s great to get that feedback – it keeps me motivated to share more stories. I hope your chickens keep laying through the winter. Ours haven’t dared to come out into the snow today even though it’s not that cold. I think they just need to get used to winter again! Love, Heather
